These exercises, done correctly with good form can help you build muscle.
Technique is most important. You just can't throw the weights around.
Focus on ,moving the weights with the intended muscle group throughout the entire movement. In this case, the biceps. Try to take tension out of the other parts of your body and focus on pulling and moving the weights with your biceps.
Use a weight that is manageable, that doesn't mean light. It basically means a weight you can move for at least 10 reps while maintaining good form. I always say use weights you can move, not weights that move you.

      +Dave Edwards not just resistance bands man. Inverted pullups also do helps
      and pullups with palm facing the face. Hell i fill a bucket with water,
      wrap a clothe around the handle and curl it. If we pull too fast water will
      spill so it really focuses your attention and were also trying to maintain
      the balance so more muscles are used.

    Do you squeeze at all in any exercise in general? Like for example curls,
    shrugs or chest exercises. Like do you flex at the top or before or do you
    really focus on relaxing and just pulling with the biceps?
