Home ab workout: crunch exercise for 6-pack abs

Don't let the TV ads convince you to buy some bulky contraption that will gather dust in your closet, crunches are safe and effective! This video clip shows how to do crunches with varying degrees of difficulty based on your ability. Remember that ab exercises alone will not give you abs! If you have the best abs in the world they will be completely invisible if you are overweight. Aerobic exercise and proper diet are even more important than ab exercises in getting that sought after 6-pack.

Form is very important in crunches, many people do them incorrectly and end up working out their neck or hips more than their abs. Use slow movements and only use the abs. Concentrate on trying to raise your shoulders straight up towards the ceiling. Don't worry about how many reps you do but focus on using perfect form. No whipping the head around or flapping your arms! This is not a sit-up either, the hips are stationary. Also important is to minimize any tension in the neck, I do this by very lightly supporting my head with my hands or the weight plate

The main reason to workout abs is because strong abs stabilize your lower back and shield you from injury but as a side benefit a 6-pack looks great!

Nah man do as many as makes you feel good. Thats what working out is all
about unless you are a serious body builder.

Seen as nobody is responding I will give you my advice. This worked for me,
buy this ab machine, Joke. If you have your form all sorted and know how to
effectively crunch. Work out how many reps you can do till you feel some
stomach burn. Then do 3-5 more than that. 3 sets is always best. That
worked for me like. Might be worth giving it a go.

My coworkers laughed when I told them I was going to get ripped with “Elite
Muscle Formula”, but then they saw the results. Go Google Elite Muscle
    Formula to see their reaction.

Is there any advantage of situps over crunches?

  9. Voffsing1 / July 10, 2013

I always get a sore neck when I do crunches, it seems like no matter how
much I try I can’t stop using my neck when trying to pull myself up -.-

Thats a very common problem. Try this. Lay across the room from the TV with
your knees bent. Raise your head up enough to see the TV looking between
your legs. Wait a minute or two till your neck starts to get tired, now
gently support your head with your hands – just enough to make it feel
good. Hold that position for 10 minutes. That will teach you the proper
pressure to apply to your head with your hands.

I do this before breakfast. I feel like it turns on my engine for the rest
of the day. I want to move, don’t want to sit down. Feel better moving than
staying still! Disclosure: I’m two weeks into a low carb eating plan.

    Gotta LOVE HD VIDEOS..

    • Francesco Di carlo / June 3, 2016

+Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας ok I’ll put that in a simple way: he had hundreds of
videos before 2008, while in the same time having no idea on when Google
would decide to enable HD resolution. So, he should have kept for
apparently no reason to him (I repeat that he had no idea on when HD would
have been supported) a huge data. And only the first part of this small
story should make you realize that he had no reason to do so. And then, not
only that, doing a massive reuplaoad that would have taken him thousands of
hours, for no reason at all: views still come, money still come and some
videos even went viral, adding all the obvious complains that he would have
received on reuploading hundreds of videos, well I sincerely hope that you
understand the nonsense of the original comment now, cheers.

+Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας I have seriously nothing against you, I just want
you to understand that you are saying something impossible to be, and if I
was rude to you I even say sorry, but just stop
