How To Build Big Arms: Hybrid Tricep Extension & Press

Looking To Build Bigger Arms? Check out…

This is a killer tricep exercise to help you build big muscular arms. It's a hybrid move of a tricep extension and an incline dumbbell press. This allows for heavyweights to be lifted and doesn't stress the elbows.

hmm i see how this works. Baiscally the bit where it goes behind his head
then comes back to the starting position of the push, is basically a pull
over which works the lats, then when he pushes it its basically a tucked in
close grip bench press which targets the tris and chest

Looking good but I say you need to grow bigger traps tho. Thumbs up!

Lee thats a great vid but the flat bench I think has more effect because
you blood flow is more flat and have you ever tried that with your elbows
    more need

@jeremylivestrong You can use both, this is a tricep exercise that’s best
done with an arm workout. The incline bench press is a chest exercise
that’s best done with a chest workout.

WOW…You got some Crazy Lats, lee. Is the usual 3 sets for 8 to 10 reps
okay for this exercise and can I replace it in place of French press (lying
extensions) on the day I train my arms? Thankyou.

  13. Lee Hayward / April 8, 2012

Yeah, doing 3 sets of 8-10 reps is fine. This is a good compound tricep
exercise that you can do in place of french press.

Is it possible to do that super setted with decline skull crushers? Or
would you pick to do only one and do work sets instead?

  15. Lee Hayward / June 23, 2012

You can work this in with decline skull crushers. This is just one move you
can do with your tricep workouts.

Because I’ve been working out for quite some time and not getting too great
results. I don’t take any supplements and don’t intend to do so. I feel
like I have to lift heavy (bent over row and bench) in order to get
viewable results. As of right now my arms ain’t bigger than average.
Hopefully a stronger grip will allow me pull / press heavier.

A question @ leemhayward: Why don’t you pause at the top and the bottom for
one second? It looks like you execute the exercise way too fast. Looks good
    nonetheless, thumbs up!

  18. Lee Hayward / June 29, 2012

If you want to slow down and pause your reps you can. But in this case I
just kept the weight moving and did higher reps.
