There are also plenty pro’s that say you can not develop inner chest, which
is fact. Anatomy just does not allow it, its purely genetic. The way you
feel inner or outer chest is because of ligaments and tendons, not the
muscle itself. There is a difference;)

    Bro-science. Bro-science everywhere

    • Feak S. / January 31, 2014

      its called personal preference…

    • Joshua H / January 31, 2014

Bringing your elbows in to “isolate your chest” when it actually ends up
isolating your triceps and forcing your front delts to engage is bro
science not preference. And if you are forced to keep the weights further
apart at the top of the positive push then how is he “isolating the middle
of the chest”. Instead of making his hands move closer to the inside of the
dumbbell offsetting the weight why not squeeze in tighter at the top
instead of being a certain amount of inches apart? BRO SCIENCE RULEZ

    • Rolando Abella / February 5, 2014

+Joshua Hittinger very true your tri’s and delt’s are more engaged but I
think his reasoning is to hit more inner chest similar to a diamond
pushup. If that’s not your goal then yeah go wide for more outer chest. And
for eccentric motion of the exercise why not do both, offset the weights
and give a good squeeze at the top? the offset personally doesn’t affect me
in a negative way. and that extra few inches of squeeze at the top where
your hands hit can make a world of difference.

He has nice physic. No one can tell if he is on roids or not, because i
myself almost physic like except that he has bigger chest and better core
than me and less fat. But i feel that i will have this physic after 1-2
years more training. Good job Jeff. To be honest i get even little bit
    inspiration of him.

I don’t think that the bench press builds up the chest. The incline
dumbbell does though and it shows up later in your bench.v

    • Mark Richardson / March 19, 2016

Most people are going really heavy on the incline dumbbell press but not
getting a full range of motion. They are only coming down halfway after the
6th rep. I prefer 22-25kg and full range 10-12 reps.

I agree with Jeff u can target inner chest. only true lifters know this.
