The standing barbell press is one of the most basic yet most effective shoulder exercises.

The nice thing about doing this exercise while standing is you can use a little bounce in your legs on the last two or three reps to initiate the movement.

      Obviously you don’t lift weights and understand his trainingsphilosophy,
      otherwise you would noticed this,
      Maybe he did lift much havier weights in the past, but for now it’s all
      about steady and controled movement with medium weights.
      But to be honost, you don’t have to lift tons of weights to get big muscles
      like mr. Steen.

    i did this exercise for the first time today before watching this video i
    managed to get 135lbs doing one rep for about 8-12 sets … this dude
    should be able to do like 300 by the looks of him, the roids is strong in
    this one.´╗┐

      This guy is obviously not a power lifter. You can gain good size with
      lighter weights and really using proper form with slow technique to create
      the burning sensation, really fatiguing your muscles. Of course he can lift
      heavier, but then you sacrifice form, and start using other muscles/rocking
      your body instead of really isolating. He really meant 95lbs is a little
      heavy for him to keep proper form, as he used his legs to cheat a little.
      Its not about how much you lift. Its all about form and fatiguing/breaking
      down the muscles. Sure you can lift heavy and sloppy but not gonna get
      great results.

      You should not be lifting a weight you can only do one. You’ll tear your

    I love how everybody on youtube comments is superman. I use 110lbs, 3×8.
    I’m nowhere near as big as this guy (6′ 197). I’m sure he could handle
    more than 95, his shoulders are huge. I think he is simply making a point.
    Don’t overdo it.´╗┐

    i was on his website and i didn’t see anything that can build a program for
    a bodybuilder i just see a program that helps people who have a lot of fat
    me im a gym rat and have always trained like a bodybuilder i mean he looks
    great but how come he wont help bodybuilders i need more than pillars of
    fat loss if i hired you i would need a bodybuilding program like im getting
    ready for a show and hes the only jacked bodybuilder on youtube that has
    not made a video telling fans what kind of routine he does and whats his
    body part split is don’t get it wrong i like and respect you but its not
    fare that you hide your bodybuilding routine from us maybe we would like to
    look like that too so don’t be afraid to tell us your routine are you
    working one body part two three a day what muscle groups do you work
    together is it a fullbody routine a push pull legs get back to me and let
    me know and robert irving aka chef said very proudly what he does he said i
    only work one body part a day see is that so hard to tell us im just a fan
    and a bodybuilder who wants to know what your routine is to look the way
    you do i know that 80% is diet and 35% the gym thanks for your time darin i
    hope you get back to me with a answer sir thanks´╗┐
